It's with great sadness that I've just received the news of Fraser's death.
It was a terrible surprise since he was still young, full of vitality and was recently very excited with the progress that he was doing in restoring a farm near Mangualde that had burnt one year and a half ago.
I had the pleasure to participate with 3 other volunteers in the beginning of that restoration work. It was then that I met Fraser and realized he was an exceptional man.
To get to the farm he told me to ask for the crazy Scotch, but what I found was real sanity, in face of the crazyness I see a bit everywhere.
Although we diverged regarding the use of animals, we shared the same craving for freedom, self-sufficiency and harmony with nature.
May his aims be expressed through us that are still alive.
